Did a long to-do list await you as you returned to work today?
Have you added things to your personal to-do list as we've entered a new year?
I've previously encouraged people to do a 'to-done list' (yes, I'm aware this is poor English but it's a play on words) - a list that reminds you of all the things you did but didn't acknowledge and so we think we're not being very productive because we didn't take time to notice the two loads of laundry we did, the unexpected emails we replied to, the emergency we had to attend to, supporting a friend who texted, giving our partner our ears for longer than planned as they processed their day, and so on.
As the sickening mantra 'new year - new you' hangs over us (I've written a post about that here) maybe this is a good time to focus on making a list of 'don't do's'.
What can you cut?
What will you no longer accept?
What will you set stricter boundaries around?
What's essentially unnecessary?
Your life, your choice!
