I've been ending these blogs with 'your life, your choice' for some time. That's to say that just because I have an opinion doesn't make it the 'right' one for anybody else.
I've come across this quote/poem that I, sadly, don't know who to attribute it to, so please let me know if you know but let's just stress, these are not my words (though I wish they were in all their simplicity and beauty):
"To live by choice, not by chance
To be motivated, not manipulated
To be useful, not used
To make changes, not excuses
To excel, not compete
I choose self-esteem, not self-pity
I choose to listen to my inner voice, not the random opinions of others.
I choose to be Me"
